Your stock drive shaft in most cases is only good for stock to minimal lifts and for the stock rear axle. When lifting or changing the rear axle housing to something other than stock, its often necessary to change the stock driveshaft to a longer or shorter length. Or the amount of articulation might not be adequate for the lift you install.
